RIP--Circuit City

RIP

For a not-so-Wordless-Wednesday.
Too many closures, too many layoffs. Circuit City was in no way special to me but the people who worked there were special to themselves and their families. When will it end?

What a great picture to show what so many are going through. When will it end? Hopefully soon...and best wishes to those who have been affected.

Well, I will miss them. I have purchased a variety of things from them over the years - a couple of PCs, VCRs, a surround sound system. Most of the folks were knowledgable and helpful, at least at our local store, and if something went wrong they tried to fix it.

Who knows where it will end. I do hope that some of our materialistic patterns of the past will be lessened in the future, though, and that the sense of hard work and industry is firmly established in the generations that follow us.

No kidding, just about every one I know has been affected one way or the other. I really feel for people who have losts their jobs. It's just crazy.

It is scary-I hope we turn the corner this year. I like Obama but he sure has the deck stacked against him.

Gotta be honest, I know what it means, but it doesn't hurt my feelings to see these big chains going out of business.
