Pelican

The brain still won't write so here's a . . .

Pelican

pelican and a silly poem.

A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His mouth can hold more than his belly can,
He can hold in his beak,
Enough food for a week!
I'm damned if I know how the hell he can!

At the beach last weekend I had the time and the quiet to watch some pelicans fish. Quite a sight to see these seemingly ungainly critters swoop and dive straight into the water, and emerge just as abruptly.
