This looks like one of the houses a Little Pig would have built.
Your pictures tell such great stories S!
Look at the pier in the right front of the photo. That house was originally a Craftsman small kit house.
There was an open porch on the front, and I'd figure that crib for an honest, without the garden level(basement, 800 square feet.
Plenty enough for a family.
