Wordless Wednesday--strange flower
Seen at Chinook Pass, Washington. I have yet to identify the flower. Shouldn't be hard to do, it is pretty distinctive, isn't it?

It's beautiful. It is odd for me to call it a flower because I don't see petals. I have seen it before tho, I don't know if in a photo or for real. I'll keep my eyes open.
