Possibly Rudbeckia Goldstrum, otherwise known as "Black Eyed Susan".
They do well Southern Oregon blooming mid summer till October.

Thanks all. I'll double check and see if they are Rudebeckia but I think not. I'll post a picture of the red Rudebeckia that were growing alongside.

Very pretty and especially bright. I just made a trip to Dallas Texas and return to North Arkansas and we only saw these in one small area, just north of Texarkana Texas. I looked it up and I think they call it Pinnate Prairie Coneflower. They were just outstanding in color along the roadway. Thanks for posting. Doyle
