Bluest of Jays

Bluest

I'm still processing August vacation photos. This fellow was posing for shots in Yosemite National Park. I love the detail you can see of the feathers (best viewed larger). Not exotic, but definitely a showy bird.

Such a beautiful Jay! Thank you for stopping by my blog, thats how I found yours. To answer your question about where my photos were taken, The vast majority of the local pic are from Chicago area Forest Preserves, most notably the Catherine Woods area near Ohare. The loons were photographed at Skokie Lagoons up near Ravinia. They were most certainly on a migratory path to Florida, I have only rarely seen them passing through here.
