Statue of the Republic
Of course I digress from previous projects but this seemed like a good photo to share.
This statue is a small size replica of The Republic by Daniel Chester French and is situated in Jackson Park, Chicago. The statue was built in 1918 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition (which held the original sculpture) and was sculpted by Henry Bacon (thanks to Wikipedia for this information).
For Photo Sunday, Statue.
