Dandelion my pet three-toed box turtle agreed to pose for this portrait after her bath. Note that she is still really dirty and this is after a 10 minute soak. It has been hot here lately and she has spent most of her time outside buried in mud. Being a turtle isn't exactly a high stim situation.

I don't get it, I see at least 4 toes.
Thanks all. The front feet have 4 toes and the hind ones 3 toes. Don't ask me why. Evolution? I guess the other box turtles have 4 on the hind feet, hence the name. The American box turtles are all a bit similar so I owe it to the feet for her ID. When we got her there was no info on her species.
