And we, too, still say, "Relax, Max".Josnahttp://josna.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29541387.post-32378767923287596132008-01-31T18:05:00.000-06:002008-01-31T18:05:00.000-06:00I've always admired the way cats spend their days....I've always admired the way cats spend their days.-I've always had cats for pets.-Larryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17955054342034509500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29541387.post-49222658720451412182008-01-30T08:52:00.000-06:002008-01-30T08:52:00.000-06:00You need to take more cat photos. But, he was so good looking.Sharihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12124663602522143973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29541387.post-39090875627742404342008-01-28T22:00:00.000-06:002008-01-28T22:00:00.000-06:00I am teaching in a school. I must try to find some when next we visit the library. She like Shel Silverstein, too.

I also like the Carl the Dog stories by Alexandra Day, but for their lack of language. Usually the author sets up the story with a little text, and then the story moves along through a series of lovely watercolor images. These were great before my daughter was reading, because she could narrate the story. It was interesting to see what details changed or stayed the same with each telling.Judhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11889051084279053474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29541387.post-17941245001088580572008-01-28T00:08:00.000-06:002008-01-28T00:08:00.000-06:00Hayley's favorite book was The Little Mouse, the R...Hayley's favorite book was The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear by Audrey Wood. She loved it so much that we went through at least 3 or 4 copies, and she even had it memorized before the age of 2. It got to the point where, when putting her to bed at night, she and I would take turns reciting lines....in the dark. I ordered a copy of it from my favorite bookstore in town for a friend's daughter once. But when it came in, it was the Russian version. I didn't purchase that copy, but the bookstore decided to keep it anyway. I'm still tempted to buy it and put it away with Hayley's one copy that did survive.
